Too much work, too much traffic, too many meetings, too much homework, STRESS!!

We seem to be under more stress than ever. We know constant stress can cause health and emotional issues, but did you know it can wreak havoc on our skin?

Yes, stress can affect the way you look:

  • Dehydration
  • Broken capillaries
  • Dull asphyxiated skin
  • Acne

These are just a few of the skin ailments that can be caused by stress.  To help keep your skin healthy, try these tips for alleviating stress:

  • Exercise
  • Get 7 to 8 hours sleep
  • Laugh (it’s true, laughter is the best medicine)
  • Meditate

Also be sure to have a regular skincare routine:

  • Cleanse morning & night
  • Apply night cream & day cream with a SPF of at least 15
  • Exfoliate once to twice a week
  • Have treatments with a skincare professional 4 to 6 times a year

So the next time life gets a little overwhelming turn off that computer or cell phone, take a walk, share laughs with a friend and don’t forget to give yourself a treat at your favorite spa. Your skin will love you for it!
